A group of twelve Cerdyn Cymru (Bus Pass) holders travelled free from the Llandeilo (Carmarthenshire) area by train on the scenic Heart of Wales line to Shrewsbury for a four course Christmas (menu) lunch, and inclusive of a complimentary drink on arrival, which worked out for under £11, at the town Shrewsbury Hotel, overlooking the wonderful river Severn.

An enjoyable day was spent by all.

Many thanks to train crew of Arriva Trains Wales for a pleasant and comfortable  return rail journey ,Jane Clarey  hotel Manager and staff  at the Shrewsbury Hotel for preparing such  an appetising  excellent festive cuisine and Hywel Jones of Cwmdu for making the necessary travel and booking  arrangements .

Another similar outing to the Shrewsbury Hotel is planned around Valentine Day in February 2010.
