Business report.

Cymdeithas Finance. Colin has been reimbursed for new bar phone and wiring, TV shelf and

electrics, computer electrics, lampshades, vacuum cleaner and printer cartridges - £368

Tafarn Cwmdu. Financial situation good at the moment. We have not had to draw any money from

the National Trust. Compared to last Financial year the Bar takings are increased by 10% and Shop

takings by 29%. In the light of our improved financial situation the Trust is considering asking for a

contribution from us. The Directors will be meeting with the NT to negotiate this. It was commented

on that our involvement also benefits the National Trust.

Kitchen. Up until now we have had one regular cook but with no certainty that this will continue,

however, bookings for private parties seems to be on the increase.

Bar. Prices, especially soft drinks, to be revised.

Shop. Kath looking at alternative sources and pricing for Free Range Eggs and will continue to

supply these for a trial period.

Cymdeithas Open Forum.

Friday 23rd April 7.00pm in the Vestry.

Philip presented a paper to stimulate a discussion ahead of the Open Forum concerning the

direction, involvement and relationship with Cymdeithas Cwmdu, Tafarn Cwmdu and the National

Trust. Who are we doing this for and why? What should our financial objective be? What sort

of relationship do we want with the NT in the future? Philip, Bryn, Colin and Alan will meet to

formulate an agenda for the meeting. We hope that all members of the community will come and

participate in the Forum.
