At the centre of this picturesque village is the local pub and shop which have been run by the community since the year 2000. These amenities have lead to the village being awarded a Countryside Alliance Award as well as attracting royal attention when Prince Charles visited the village in October 2009.
The terrace which includes the Inn, Shop and Post Office along with private residences is owned by the National Trust whilst the community have the lease and run the inn and shop. So welcome to our little village, we are all very proud of it we hope that this website will make you want to spend some time with us whether you are a visitor from afar or a local resident.
