The Restaurant is closed until the end of July at which point we will review how it can best safely and effectively operated.
All events on the premises or organised by Cymdeithas Cwmdu are cancelled until at least the 24th July and will then only take place if they are permitted by regulations and can operate with social distancing in place.
Shop and Post Office:
We will endeavour to keep the shop and post office operating. As of 23rd March the opening hours will remain Tuesday to Friday 9:30 – 1:30 BUT we will be closed on Saturdays.
Please note however that we will be restricting the number of customers in the shop at any one time.
You may place your order in advance by phoning the shop on 01558 685156 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Orders for fresh bread and milk (glass bottles) should continue to be made in advance to ensure availability.
The service is, in the main, operated by volunteers, they and the staff very much want to continue to deliver the much appreciated service and so we hope that you can understand when changes to the operation and any occasions when the full service is not available.

Cwmdu is a small but vibrant village in the heart of Carmarthenshire, South / South West Wales just a few miles from Llandeilo, Llandovery and a little further to Lampeter. It has a strong community spirit which has allowed it to punch way above its weight in what it offers to local residents and visitors to the area. At the centre of this picturesque village is the local pub and shop which have been run by the community since the year 2000. These amenities have lead to the village being awarded a Countryside Alliance Award as well as attracting royal attention when Prince Charles visited the village in October 2009. National Trust whilst the community have the lease and run the inn and shop. So welcome to our little village, we are all very proud of it we hope that this website will make you want to spend some time with us whether you are a visitor from afar or a local resident.
