Day for the family and children
In 2023 we were joined on the field by a Medieval Re-enactment camp. An advance guard camp of King Henry VII (in 1503) as he plans a royal procession through South Wales to his family’s home in Pembroke in recognition of the support of the populace during the campaigns in the wars of the roses.
The camp included colourful medieval tents and a busy cooking area. With two ‘training’ sessions for young volunteers for the king’s retinue – sign up on the day for the planned activities. Lots of armour and weaponry for you to look at and why not have a go at the medieval garden game of ‘kubb’.
